Misbah ul haq- captain no.4
The Big Picture On the eve of a Test series, the air should be thick with anticipation. Instead, Pakistan's desert encounter with South Africa begins under clouds of corruption and death threats. The turmoil would be enough to flatten most sides but Pakistan - be it their players or administrators - can ' compartmentalise' better than any. Out goes Zulqarnain Haider, in comes another Akmal, Adnan this time, and on goes the show. While the one-day series, which South Africa edged 3-2 , turned out to be a classic it's difficult to see Pakistan faring as well in the Tests. It's their first since losing Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir, and the replacements don't inspire. Misbah-ul-Haq, whose last Test was the Sydney debacle , has been installed as captain - Pakistan's fourth in a year - and the first item on his lengthy agenda will be justifying his place in the team. Mohammad Sami, a bowler with every talent bar wicket-taking, is also recalled, making this new era look suspiciously like the old. The return of Younis Khan, his first Test in over a year, lends the top-order a veneer of toughness that was absent against England earlier this year, but 534 runs at 25.42 in the 21 ODIs he's played during his Test wilderness, suggest his powers could be on the wane.

VVS Laxman - first hometown Test
Very Very Special Laxman is playing his first test match in his hometown on 12th Nov 10 vs NZ. As kids we all grow up with dreams such as scoring a century or destroying the opposition with the ball. An essential part of these dreams is the venue.
My first experience of playing in an international ground was at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. It was an Under-16 match but it was a phenomenal experience. To play in a ground which you see only on television, where Test matches are held, was plain exciting.
But nothing beats playing in the place where you grew up. You might ask, what is so special about playing at home? For me it is the familiarity.

Beginning of Ashes . .
"In affectionate remembrance of English cricket which died at The Oval, 29 th August, 1882. Deeply lamented by a large circle of sorrowing friends and acquaintances, RIP. NB The body will be cremated and the Ashes taken to Australia. Australia's first victory on English soil over the full strength of England, on August 29 , 1882 , inspired a young London journalist, Reginald Shirley Brooks, to write this mock "obituary''. It appeared in the Sporting Times . Before England's defeat at The Oval, by seven runs, arrangements had already been made for the Hon. Ivo Bligh, afterwards Lord Darnley, to lead a team to Australia. Three weeks later they set out, now with the popular objective of recovering the Ashes. In the event, Australia won the first Test by nine wickets, but with England winning the next two it became generally accepted that they brought back the Ashes. It was long believed that the real Ashes - a small urn thought to contain the ashes of a bail used in the third match - were presented to Bligh by a group of Melbourne women. In 1998 , Lord Darnley's 82- year-old daughter-in-law said they were the remains of her mother-in-law's veil, not a bail. Other evidence suggests a ball. The certain origin of the Ashes, therefore, is the subject of some dispute. After Lord Darnley's death in 1927 , the urn was given to MCC by Lord Darnley's Australian-born widow, Florence. It can be seen in the cricket museum at Lord's, together with a red and gold velvet bag, made specially for it, and the scorecard of the 1882 match.

Umpire Decision Review System
UDRS, "Technology used to eliminate umpiring errors from Test Cricket" could have been avoided umpire's incorrect given out VVS Laxman and Zaheer Khan on the 5th day of Ind vs NZ test. Still Mr.CooL (Dhoni) thinks UDRS is not for India. Dhoni says, Level of umpiring should be lifted but he should know it that umpire are also a human being and human is an err. So Why don't he believe on UDRS? Today's incorrect decision of Umpire probably make him to think adopt UDRS in future series. As we have seen in recent past, UDRS was success in Eng vs Pak and Aus vs Pak test series. It avoide the Umpire's wrong decisions. Hope it will be in all format in coming Future of Cricket
