Brian Charles Lara and IPL 4

Former West Indies player Brian lara might play IPL 2011 ( IPL season 4) as told by IPL commissioner Lalit Modi. He said that the West Indies batting legend is keen to play in the fourth season of the mega event next year. Brian lara was spotted at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata watching the match between Kolkata Knight Riders [and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Brian lara met Modi there and discussed his participation in the next season of the mega cricket event.

Lalit Modi says - "Spent the last 24 hours with Brian Lara in Kolkata. He is excited of the prospect to be available for IPL 4. Told him to get into training. Brian Lara was the first guy we approached during first IPL season and, unfortunately, he couldn't join us. We are wishing him to get ready and be a part of IPL season 4 ,"

Brian lara says - “I don’t know if I can play next year. It has been a long time since I have played competitive cricket. The standard of cricket being played in the IPL is pretty high, so I need to be on the top of my game before I think of joining. So, for now, I am happy watching it.”
